ACWUA and GIZ are offering an interactive e-learning course in "Sector Governance in Urban Sanitation" to enhance the capacity of local decision-makers to make the most efficient, effective and equitable use of investments in sanitation.
Duration:
Total course duration: 4 weeks (November 07th until December 11th, 2011). Participants should be aware that they will need around 60 hours for reading the course material. Additional time for study of in-depth resources, for collaborational on-line work and for the exam should as well taken into account.
Target group:
Senior managers and supervisors in water and sanitation utilities, in a local, federal or national government, in associations, NGOs or other related organisations. The interactive e-learning course is offered on the GIZ - platform "Global Campus 21".
Requirements for participation in the course:
Sound internet access (at least 10h/week), computer equipment, PDF Reader, up-to-date browser.
Excellent knowledge of English language. The course is available in an offline version (download) as well, but communication in the forum with tutors and other participants is done via Internet.
Applicants have to complete an initial multiple choice test (available online only) before being permitted.
Certificates:
Participants will receive a certificate in electronic form (PDF) from GIZ.
Requirements: Active participation in forum and chats and passing a multiple-choice test and/or assigned tasks.
